Limassol (Cyprus), February  16 , 2010 – ASBISC Enterprises PLC, an expert in IT products distribution to the EMEA emerging markets, and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) came to an agreement on Hitachi Branded drives distribution.

ASBIS is now authorized to distribute Hitachi GST external storage drives in EMEA region via distribution centers and ASBIS offices located in over 26 countries. By adding Hitachi Branded drives to its storage portfolio, ASBIS completed its Hitachi GST product offering.

One of the first models in the new product line that Asbis will offer is the Hitachi Portable drive - the perfect drive for consumers with a laptop or desktop computer looking for a stylish, simple way to store, backup, synchronize and carry their files. Asbis will offer the Hitachi Portable in  two capacity points, Blue Dusk 320GB and Carbon Fibre 500GB.

The Hitachi Portable features a sleek pocket sized design, velvety smooth texture for a secure grip, all-in-one high speed USB 2.0 cable (included) and simple, automatic backups with Hitachi Local Backup^TM .

Hitachi Portable Blue Dusk 320GB and Hitachi Portable Carbon Fibre 500GB are already available for orders from local ASBIS offices.

Hitachi Branded series such as Hitachi Rugged Portable, Hitachi Simpledrive series and G-Technology, the industry’s most comprehensive line of external disk storage solutions designed for professional content creation applications, will be available later this quarter from all ASBIS entities.
